More and more golf parties are staying in the area, we are lucky to have a huge selection of golf courses, from the very reasonably priced Ruminghem course, the hilly competition level course in St Omer and the chic courses on the coast, Le Touquet and Hardelot to name a few. The Dunkerque course is also popular with English, Dutch and Belgians.
The Henri Matisse museum has re-opened after extensive renovations in Le Cateau Cambresis, Matisse's birthplace and the museum is not to be missed. Matisse was one of few artists to have had a museum dedicated to his work within his own lifetime. A good collection of his works, paintings, drawings and sculptures, not far from Lille.
This is a great time to go horse riding on the beautiful beaches between Calais and Boulogne, quite a few trekking centres are geared for small parties.
Each house is near specific places of interest and the owners have folders with general information for visitors.
If you are celebrating a special occasion, birthday, stag or hen night, wedding anniversary Eperlecques can provide champagne or bubbly wine, flowers, food or prepare for most festivities for you.
Some of the other houses can do likewise, why not ask when you make your initial enquiry. Herzeele can organise a chef to come to your cottage and do the cooking for you so that you can experience a real French chef in house - no worries about drink driving !! A really exciting moment seeing how he prepares the food. Wine tasting is a real favourite too but only for larger parties.

We are getting more and more requests from people going back to the UK with their pets, who need a stepping stone of a few months or weeks near the Channel. If you are planning such a stay don't forget to contact the properties well in advance as setting up semi long lets needs careful planning. Most of the houses accept dogs, notably Eperlecques, Arques, Calais and Volkerinckove. Moncavrel has a really beautiful garden with pond and a nice above ground pool.
Eperlecques is now doing B&B in the main manor house, table d'hote is also popular for small or large parties. The new pool is being enjoyed by all.
Don't hesitate to contact us if you want any kind of event organised, catering or guided tours. We have a large reservoir of French and British locals who can help with any matter : wine evenings, language courses ( French or English), battlefield tours, beer tasting tours in Belgium etc.. Wine tasting has become really popular. Wine evenings can be arranged for large parties and you'll get the chance to taste some great wines and go home with special offers.
