The Cottage
Sleeps 6+
Detached from the main house the cottage accommodation is all on the ground floor and the renovation is in keeping with the original features, stone floors and wooden beams.
There is a good sized living/dining room with comfortable armchairs, dining area and English t.v. with excellent reception. The kitchen has been fitted in what once was the inglenook fireplace and has electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and good sized fridge. Kitchen new for 2003 season.
The main double bedroom (double bed) is off this area with its own en suite bathroom with wc, shower and washing machine.
At the other end of the cottage a hallway leads to two double bedrooms with twin beds and a separate loo and shower room.
The floors are original flag stone and the bedrooms have wooden floors.
There are two doors leading to a vast enclosed courtyard which has garden furniture, barbecue and a large above ground pool, 22'x14'x4'. The pool is in an exceptionally sheltered courtyard and is a very popular asset to the cottageand is shared during the day time.
A huge lawn/orchard with badminton and swing adjacent to the cottage and you can choose from a large supply of bicycles of varying sizes for exploring the countryside. Cot and high chair can be supplied with no extra charge. Bed linen and heating are included for your stay.
The Area
The village is ideally situated for summer holidays or short breaks. We are within 25 minutes of Calais or Boulogne limiting travelling this side of the Channel. The village itself has all the necessary services, a supermarket, bakery, butcher’s, farm produce and several cafés. Saint Omer or Ardres, our local market towns are 10 minutes away and both have a great choice of restaurants.
For the active holiday, boating on the local waterways, sailing, windsurfing or sand yachting on the fabulous sandy beaches which are easy to get to. Ardres has a good sized lake with pedalos and rowing boats. There are several golf courses nearby, notably St Omer and Le Touquet or Hardelot. A tennis court can be hired in the village for 20 Frs an hour. Horse riding in the local forest 5 minutes away.
An excellent base for visiting the local war museums, a day trip to Bruges, Paris or to one of the many theme parks in Northern France.
La Grange
Sleeps 6+ with log fire
"La Grange" is on the left as you drive up to the Manor house and completely detached from the main house.
It has a wonderful large open plan sitting room with cathedral style ceiling right up to the roof with massive exposed beams. The kitchen is open plan to the dining area. A corridoor leads to a bedroom with 3 single beds. A second double bedroom with en suite bathroom with wc is further along the corridoor. There is a second bathroom and wc.
Washing machine and general appliances are installed and the other facilities are much the same as the other cottage. It has its own private garden with lawn and Badminton court and shares the pool and table tennis with the other cottage.

July, August, Easter, Christmas : £570 per week
Half terms, Bank holidays £470 per week
Other months : £370 per week
Short breaks : £ 60 per night,
£180 minimum charge.
