Built in 1724 at the heart of a village in the Flanders region.
A tourist area of lush, undulating countryside, forests, rivers and ancient hill-top
towns. The Inn has recently been restored to a high standard, combining all
modern comforts yet retaining immense charm.
The accommodation comprises the entire first floor - approximately 120m2.
The lounge/dining room is 7m x 6m with heavy oak beams and high ceilings, a
large fire-place and parquet flooring. All windows in the property are
double-glazed and have modern shutters, operated internally. The property
has electric central heating.
There are two large bedrooms - both can take up to four persons and contain
wash basins.
There is a modern shower room and kitchen.
The village is well served with a mini-market, a butcher, 3 cafes, a large
restaurant and sporting facilities.
Saint Omer, Watten and Cassel - all historic towns, are within ten minutes
drive of the property. Saint Omer has extensive shopping and tourist
facilities and is considered one of the prettiest towns in northern
France.
The area also contains beaches, golf courses, theme parks and boat hire.
Lille and Ypres are a comfortable hours drive away. Bruges and Ghent can be
reached within one and a half hours.
